Any job that comes with the promise of fast money is usually over populated with people in the game; and a high population of people trying to get in the game. This makes competition steep. It seems like everyone is trying to get in the business. What business? Any and all business; if it looks like people are making money doing it a lot of people are going to want to be in that field. The one exception may be high rise window cleaners and the medical field. Personally I don't like heights; I know I definitely don't want to work around blood and have to cut on people. I don't have the right combination to be a doctor; I have a steady hand, but a weak stomach. There are a lot of Tech and Trade schools, barber and beauty colleges, you don't necessarily have to go to school to write. It can't hurt, but you don't have to go. Most writers I think are struggling, just like a lot of artist and musicians don't make a lot of money, they do it because they love to do it. There are many people writing, new books come out every day, there are a ton of old books too. Endless amounts of Songs and pictures painted and sketched, there are few untapped subjects. There are many, many writers and a large variety of topics. Any thing you can imagine someone is writing about it, that doesn't mean that it isn't worth the try. The same is true with all fields. You can make a living doing what you love to do.
Competition is every where in our lives, it is impossible to avoid all types of competition. Even when you go to fill out a job application at any job, you are competing with the other job seekers. Don't go getting paranoid, that won't help. Realizing where, when and who the competition is. You don't want to bring your self to the point that your walking around with a chip on your shoulder that might get you hurt. I have heard that life is a completive sport, and that is true. The thing is you have to stay positive; being negative will bring negative karma to you. It is best to realize that there is enough for every one there is your slice of the American dream waiting for you. All you have to do is claim it.
The way out of the completion, is to give all that you have, in every thing you do, do your best, put forth your best effort. Go to the job interview looking, sounding, and smelling your best, every time. Your best means having a resume typed up, to know why you want to work for that particular company. More thought needs to be put into job searching not just working for who ever will tolerate you. Get it in gear.
